Today we took the cable car to the top of the Dachstein-Krippenstein.
We went to the Five-Fingers,
a view platform above Lake Hallstatt.
The view is awesome.
This peak is over 6000 feet, chilly, and the air is thin.
Then we went to Hallstatt,
a world-heritage site full of Chinese tourists.
The Chinese made a small version of Hallstatt in China.
It looks exactly like the original.
People have been producing salt here since the Bronze Age.
We went to the Charnel House in the cemetery.
There is not enough room so bones are stored here after 10-15 years in the ground.
Some of the skulls are painted.
For dinner we went to the Knödelalm and had some dumplings.
At the farm house we ran into one of the little kittens.
There are six.
The boys were tired that day!
