Schönbrunn

We went to Schönbrunn Castle today.
This was the Imperial Summer Residence.
First we looked at the gardens.
 This was the garden terrace.
Then we took a tour through the Imperial rooms.
This is the large hall.
This was Emperor Franz Joseph's desk.
Then we walked around in the extensive gardens.
We found the 'Schöner Brunnen' -
the beautiful spring, for which the place was named.
We found the artificial Roman Ruins.
The tree trimmers were on break.
 The large fountain was on!
What a treat!
We climbed up behind Neptune's horses.
 The water was incredibly loud.
Then we hiked up the large hill.
We got lost in the large maze.

We played with the water features,
 and the step-on glockenspiel.
Our feet got a little wet.
At the top of the garden we took some pictures.

This is the building up there.
It is called Gloriette and has its own reflecting pool.
 One picture with Charlie,
 one with both boys.
Then we walked inside to the platform.
We didn't have coffee in the cafe because we were really hungry.
So we went to the Tyrolean village and had some real food.
Before Schnitzel!
After Schnitzel!
Then it started to rain and we had to postpone our visit to the zoo....
